The Arguments for and Benefits of Cultural Education (Group B)

 Sat 18. January 2020, 11:30 h | 120 Minutes
  HAU 3 | Studio 2, Berlin

Work in the area of cultural education offers an additional field of operations to many involved in the independent performing arts. In its specific implementation, new challenges appear that often present themselves differently than they usually do in artistic work. It’s easy to find problems and formulate difficulties. That's why we want to focus on the success stories in the area of cultural education instead.

In two parallel sessions we're developing a vision of what an ideal project in cultural education could look like. What do you think is important from your work in this field and when did something work well? What educational effect should such a project have and what's the best way to connect this expectation to artistic processes? How can we successfully continue our own artistic development through this process? To determine the positive core of this work, we'll define the conditions and requirements for success, imagine the future and formulate visions. Our methods will be interview and discussion, notation and physical presentation.

Group A’s focus is on the educational work experience project participants and will be lead by Veronika Ehm, MA, EDUCULT. Group B’s focus is on contributions to (one’s own) artistic work and will be lead by Dr. AronWeigl, EDUCULT.

The session will be held in German. Limited number of participants. Registration for this event is closed, please ask about vacant places at the info desk.
