General Information
The teams at the HAU Hebbel am Ufer and the 2020 federal congress are working tirelessly on expanding their accessible programming and always welcome questions and suggestions.
The spaces at the HAU Hebbel am Ufer have very different levels of accessibility. That's why we're asking wheelchair users and others with impaired mobility to let us know which events they're attending beforehand by writing to: bundeskongress@darstellende-kuenste.de
Event locations and access, parking spots, toilets
At HAU 1 there are two parking spots for people with disabilities. A lift in a separate entrance may be used to access the Parkett (stalls/orchestra) in HAU 1. Accessible toilets are also available.
At HAU2 there are two parking spots for people with disabilities on Großbeerenstraße. The building is equipped with a wheelchair ramp and lift. Accessible toilets are also available.
WAU in HAU2 has step-free access. Accessible toilets are also available.
For HAU 3 lift access can only be arranged in advance. Accessible toilets are available.
Type of Events
Silence is not expected at our events. However, when serious subjects are being discussed, a tense or highly focused atmosphere can arise. Anyone who needs to take a break is welcome to do so at any time.
Water is always available for free and there will often be coffee, tea, fruit and biscuits as well.
Language
Many of the events will include interpretation into English, some events will be held in English with interpretation into German. More detailed information can be found in the programme.
